Lemon Earns September's Best Pitcher Honor Friday, October 1st , 1954 When Bob Lemon takes the hill, he's a good bet to nail down the victory for the Cleveland Indians. At least that's the way it was in May. He excelled with a 4-1 mark and 2.54 ERA in 5 starts. In 39 innings, he fanned 17 and walked 11. That's why he was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the AL. This year, Lemon has compiled a 18-13 mark with a 3.60 ERA. |
